馮永基 Raymond FUNG (1952-)

超水墨的「千秋」大業

馮永基為香港著名建築師、設計師及水墨畫家。他曾當選香港十大傑出青年及香港十大傑出設計師。五度獲香港建築師學會週年設計獎及無數海內外設計大獎。水墨創作方面，他多次入選全國美展及香港藝術雙年展，經常展出於世界各地及廣為各國機構與美術館收藏。

2009年，他獲頒民政事務局長之藝術推廣嘉許獎狀。2011年，獲香港特區政府委任為太平紳士。

馮氏現為香港中文大學建築學院客席教授、中文大學榮譽建築師、西九文化局發展委員會委員、藝術博物館榮譽顧問、海濱事務委員會委員及香港建築中心董事。

除出版「誰把爛泥扶上壁」及「馮永基藝術作品集」，他亦参與「建築師的見觸思」、「香港百年建築」、「香港城區設計散步」、「熱戀建築」、「視藝文集」、「台北品味之旅」及「十築香港」等文化書籍。

Raymond Fung is a famous architect, designer and ink wash painter in Hong Kong. He was elected as one of the Hong Kong's Top Ten Outstanding Young Persons and Hong Kong's Top Ten Outstanding Designers. He won the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Awards five times and numerous design awards at home and abroad. He has been selected into the National Art Exhibition and the Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition many times. His works are often exhibited in various parts of the world and widely collected by various institutions and art galleries.

In 2009, he was awarded the certificate of Arts Promotion Award by the Secretary for Home Affairs. In 2011, he was appointed as a Justice of the Peace by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.

Mr. Fung is a visiting professor of the School of Architecture of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, honorary architect of the Chinese University, member of the Development Committee of the West Kowloon Cultural Bureau, honorary advisor of the Museum of Art, member of the Waterfront Affairs Committee and director of the Hong Kong Construction Center.

Raymond Fung 's landscape painting tone is mainly based on the abstract brushstrokes as the landscape structure, and the application of the elegant color rendering. He does not emphasize the use of changing traditional methods to express textures of mountains and rivers, but he characterizes them by fine, short, clustered dotted lines and paper wrinkles to present special visual effects.
