朱德群 CHU Teh-Chun（1920-2014）
朱德群於1997年當選法蘭西學院藝術院士，為兩百年來首位獲此殊榮的華裔藝術家，其藝術成就深獲國際肯定，並於2001年獲頒騎士棕櫚勳章與榮譽軍團騎士勳章。
朱德群融合東方傳統美學與西方抽象精神，以簡化造形、線條與濃烈色彩構築富有張力的視覺語彙。其石版版畫以書法性與節奏感的線條結合奔放筆觸，將自然轉化為神秘且富戲劇性、抒情而浪漫的藝術表現。
CHU Teh-Chun was elected to the Académie des Beaux-Arts in 1997, becoming the first artist of Chinese heritage in over two centuries to receive this honor. In 2001, he was awarded the Knight of the Order of Academic Palms and the Knight of the Légion d’honneur.
He merged Eastern aesthetics with Western abstraction, using simplified forms, line, and vibrant color to create works of strong visual tension. His lithographs, defined by calligraphic rhythm and expressive brushwork, transform nature into poetic and dramatic compositions.

華人藝術之光 A Titan of the Asian Art World
朱德群出生於安徽，1935年進入杭州藝專就讀，受林風眠提倡之中西融合學風影響。1951年來台任教於台灣師範大學美術系，後遠赴巴黎，接觸現代藝術思潮，拓展視野並奠定日後創作基礎。
CHU Teh-Chun was born in Anhui and entered the Hangzhou National College of Art in 1935, where he was influenced by LIN Fen-Mian’s philosophy of integrating Chinese and Western art. In 1951, he moved to Taiwan to teach at the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University, and later relocated to Paris, where exposure to modern art movements broadened his vision and laid the foundation for his later work.

1920 出生於安徽省徐州蕭縣白土鎮。
1935 考入國立杭州藝術專科學校。
1949 國共內戰爆發，由南京到臺灣臺北。
1951 任教國立台灣師範學院（今國立臺灣師範大學）藝術系。
1954 在臺北市中山紀念堂首次個展。
1955 離臺赴法國深造。
1957 加入巴黎春季沙龍，以「景昭畫像」獲銀牌獎。
1958 在巴黎首次個展。
1964 受邀參加美國匹茲堡卡內基博物館「現代國際畫展」。
1969 參加巴西聖保羅第十屆雙年展，專室陳列。
1982 法國勒哈佛爾市安德烈．馬爾羅現代藝術博物館（Musée d'art moderne André Malraux），
展出1955年－1982年之作品。
1985 於法國守修市「藝術之家」展出大型作品，前往瑞士途中經過阿爾卑斯山脈，引發靈感創作一系列油畫
1987 國立歷史博物館主辦朱德群回顧展，為朱德群旅法32年首次回臺個展。
1989 與藝評家舒瑞蓋哈共同籌劃，促成「巴黎當代繪畫邀請展」於臺中臺灣省立美術館展出，
全部展出作品贈送該館，實現朱德群一心充實美術館的願望。
1993 《朱德群畫集》發行英、法文版本，由卡班．皮埃爾．卡班納（Pierre Cabanne）執筆。
1997 12月當選法蘭西學院藝術院士。
1999 2月3日法蘭西學院藝術院士就職典禮。
2007 日本東京上野之森美術館舉辦朱德群回顧展《大象無形 ‧ 朱德群展》。
2014 逝於法國巴黎，享壽94歲。
2020 名山藝術展出《寧靜 ‧ 光燦：朱德群百歲誕辰紀念展》。
