靜心旅人 A Mindful Sojourner

李佳駿1969年出生於台灣，1993年於中國文化大學美術學系油畫組畢業。1997年前往美國加州大學河濱分校進修藝術與設計，隨後師從國際知名古典繪畫大師兼教師大衛．樂夫 (David Leffel)。

李佳駿的創作來自對自然變化的持續觀察，以及長年往返臺灣與美國之間的移動經驗。航行於海上的過程，使風景不再是靜止的對象，隨著接近與遠離之間呈現出不斷變動的感知經驗，時而清晰、時而模糊，如同記憶在時間中被沖刷與重組。

作品以畫刀與自製刮刀反覆推移顏料，在堆疊與刮除之間，使畫面持續處於建構與消解的循環之中。色層如同海浪拍打、地質堆積般交錯生成，景象在聚合與消散之間逐漸隱去輪廓，留下流動的視覺殘影，將風景轉化為人在變動之中對世界的感知，關於漂泊、距離，以及在有限之中試圖捕捉無限的過程。

Leroy Lee was born in Taiwan in 1969. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts (Oil Painting) at Chinese Culture University in 1993. In 1997, he continued his studies in Art and Design at the University of California, Riverside, and later studied under the internationally renowned classical painter and teacher David Leffel.

Lee’s practice stems from his sustained observation of natural transformation, as well as his long-term movement between Taiwan and the United States. His experiences of traveling at sea shift the notion of landscape from a static subject into a perceptual condition in flux—emerging and receding with distance, at times clear and at times indistinct, much like memories shaped and reshaped over time.

Working with palette knives and custom-made scraping tools, Lee repeatedly pushes, layers, and removes paint. Through this continuous cycle of construction and dissolution, the surface evolves into a dynamic field. Layers of color accumulate and intersect like ocean waves or geological formations, gradually dissolving defined forms and leaving behind fluid visual traces. In this way, landscape becomes a means of articulating human perception in motion—touching on displacement, distance, and the attempt to grasp the infinite within the finite.
