翁明崖 WONG Ming-Yai（1974-）
翁明崖追求筆調的純粹，每一筆的推移皆展現其對景物的敏銳感受。質樸沉穩的筆法，映照出藝術家的內在與情感。
畫中常見的水平線，如無聲而平穩的力量，將空間引向遼闊的無人之境，記錄他與山、林、水、光、雲、影之間的靜謐對話。其創作亦源於曾於台東池上生活駐村的經驗，在貼近自然的日常中體會純粹與寧靜，並轉化為作品的核心。
WONG Ming-Yai pursues purity in his brushwork. Each stroke reveals a keen sensitivity to the natural world, while his restrained, grounded technique conveys a quiet emotional presence.
Horizontal lines often appear in his paintings—quiet, steady forces that lead the eye into vast, uninhabited spaces, reflecting his silent dialogue with mountains, woods, water, light, clouds, and shadow. His practice is also shaped by his residency experience in Chishang, Taitung, where living close to nature deepened his sense of simplicity and stillness, now central to his work.

翁明崖1974年生於金門，畢業於台灣藝術大學美術系，2004年取得台北藝術大學美術創作碩士學位。翁明崖筆下的風景與靜物，捕捉生活中恬然得適的寧靜片段。他凝視自然萬物瞬息，以細緻至極的筆調緩緩鋪陳，將片刻的光影與氣息凝鍊為深遠的風景，蘊含時間流動後的沉靜與留白。
WONG Ming-Yai was born in 1974 in Kinmen. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts, and in 2004 received an MFA in Fine Arts from Taipei National University of the Arts. His landscapes and still lifes capture tranquil moments drawn from everyday life.
With a contemplative gaze on nature’s fleeting moments, he paints with exceptional delicacy, refining light, air, and time into landscapes that carry a quiet stillness and the calm of passing time.
