達利 Salvador dali（1904-1985）
達利於1904年出生於西班牙的費格拉斯，在其相當年輕時便開始展露才華。他在傳統的油畫技法上有相當紮實的根柢，過去曾經自己拍攝電影、撰寫學術論文，也曾與知名的電影大師希區考克合作。
隨著佛洛伊德"夢的解析"一書出版後，對於潛意識的研究陷入狂熱，配合他豐富的想像力，創造出獨具個人魅力，充滿潛意識與超現實的作品。
Salvador Dali was born in 1904 in Figueres, and began to display his talent at a very young age. He possessed a strong foundation in traditional oil painting techniques; in the past, he directed his own films, wrote scholarly essays, and also collaborated with the renowned film master Alfred Hitchcock.
Following the publication of Sigmund Freud’s The Interpretation of Dreams, research into the unconscious mind became a widespread obsession. Combined with his rich imagination, this influence led him to create works of distinctive personal charm, filled with themes of the unconscious and surrealism.

Salvador Dali early works were primarily oil paintings. In his middle and later years, he also began collaborating with foundries, using imagery from his paintings as inspiration to produce limited-edition bronze sculptures. Because of his precocious talent and artistic vision that surpassed his time, he was hailed as a genius, and is often ranked alongside Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró as one of the three great Spanish Art Masters.

1904 出生於西班牙費格拉斯。

1941 芭蕾舞劇《迷宮》在美國紐約大都會歌劇院首演。
1942 美國紐約現代美術館籌劃回顧展，並在八個城市巡迴展出。
1945 與希區考克合作電影《蠱惑》。
1949 作品開始出現宗教題材，對和諧及等比原理的興趣濃厚。
1957 唐吉訶德系列十五張石版畫在法國巴黎展出。
1959 教宗約翰二十三世召見。
1964 出版《一個天才的日記》。
1966 發表他最重要的作品《捕鮪魚》。
1980 倫敦泰特美術館回顧展，同年發表作品《夢王子》。
1982 受西班牙加泰隆尼亞官方頒授最高榮譽「卡洛斯三世大十字勳章」。
